Engagement process
Step-by-step process for Connect Vertex Base engagements — from intake and observation planning through application analytics reading and the final behaviour briefing.
This process underpins every Connect Vertex Base engagement, whether you book a User Behaviour Audit or a shorter workshop. Timelines compress for half-day work; the spine stays the same.
If you already know the engagement type, request a briefing with that preference noted. If you are unsure, tell us the decision hanging over your team and we will recommend a starting point.
Stages of an engagement
Intake and decision framing
We begin with a call focused on the decision you need to make — not a tour of every chart you own. You leave with a one-page brief naming the audience, the journey, constraints, and what success looks like for the engagement.
Observation plan
Together we choose moderated sessions, recording review, or both. Recruitment, consent wording, and task scripts are agreed before any watching begins.
Behaviour capture
Sessions run to the plan. We note hesitations, recovery moves, and verbatim phrases. Parallel to this, we read the relevant application analytics with your tracking owner present.
Reconciliation
Observed behaviour is compared with tracked events. Gaps — missing events, misnamed steps, sample bias — are documented plainly.
Briefing and handoff
You receive a written findings pack and a live briefing. One revision round is included. Implementation of changes stays with your team unless separately scoped.
